SASKIA – Social Activation Service for families with children – (K)Communication, Integration, Adaptation
Another registered social service of META has been the social activation service for families with children since 2021.
Our social workers support young migrants and their families in complicated life situations, especially with regard to the needs of children at risk. In this service, we offer intensive long-term cooperation with the family, support in upbringing and education, in coping with stressful situations, solving the social situation, helping with running a household, etc.
The service includes coordinated cooperation with other parties – cooperation with the school, OSPOD (Authority for Social and Legal Protection of Children) and other authorities or organizations working with the family. The service helps to facilitate communication and overcome the disadvantages of a cultural and linguistic barrier.

The service is provided both in META office and in the field: e.g. in clients’ homes or when accompanying clients to schools or offices.
The service capacity: in any given period, the service can be used by up to 10 families simultaneously.
